Herring Run in Braintree

When you see this sign you will be in the right place

There is parking in the lot.

Just put 10 Plain Street, Braintree in your GPS

This was a large project. Because of the determination 

of dedicated people, the dam was removed and the 

herring are swimming  again.

There is a wonderful boardwalk constructed 

over the marsh area.

When you get to the end of the boardwalk continue

on the paved surface.

There is a great observation platform.

The day I was there my timing wasn't good

so I didn't see any herring but I did meet

Aidan, an ecology student from the area going

to school in Maryland. We need more students

focusing on the environment now more than ever.
